‏H.E. the Saudi Minister of Finance sponsors the Golden Jubilee ceremony of The Arab Investment & Export Credit Guarantee Corporation (Dhaman)

Under the patronage of His Excellency the Saudi Minister of Finance, Mr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Aljadaan, the Arab Investment and Export Credit Guarantee Corporation (Dhaman) celebrated, February 19, 2025 in Riyadh, the golden jubilee of its establishment as the first multilateral investment guarantee body in the world.

The Saudi Deputy Minister of Finance for International Relations, Mr. Khaled Bawazier, delivered the ceremony speech on behalf of His Excellency the Minister, during which he indicated that the Kingdom's hosting of this exceptional event is an affirmation of its firm commitment to supporting joint Arab action institutions in general and enhancing the role of "Dahman" in developing the investment, trade, finance and insurance sectors in a way that supports the process of economic development in our Arab region.

He stressed Saudi's continued support for the operations, strategies, plans and programs of the Foundation in the coming period, in an effort to strengthen its presence to serve member countries and ensure that they continue to provide their services to achieve growth and prosperity, as this support provided by the Kingdom is an extension of being one of the largest shareholders in the capital of the Foundation, and the Kingdom also supports the directions of the Foundation's management to expand the scope of its activities sectorally and geographically from its headquarters in the State of Kuwait and its regional office in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.

In addition, Bawazier pointed to the importance of strengthening cooperation and integration of efforts in the coming period to achieve common goals and promote the process of sustainable development in various fields, which requires collaboration from the countries of the region to keep pace with the global development with deliberate, objective and implementable plans at various levels, including strengthening and strengthening local and regional institutions to enable them to face challenges and enhance their roles in serving the economies and peoples of Arab countries.

Based in Kuwait, the Arab Investment & Export Credit Guarantee Corporation (Dhaman) was established in 1974 as a multilateral institution that comprises all Arab countries and four joint Arab financial institutions. It provides specialized insurance services against credit and political risks with a view to facilitating the inflow of foreign direct investments into Arab countries and promoting Arab exports and imports.
